
Any Sessions on them will first need to be copied onto a drive formatted correctly for Pro Tools - which is not necessarily the same as being formatted correctly for the computer's operating system. Transfer drives cannot be used to either play or record Pro Tools Sessions directly.

Examples include shared network drives, CD‑ROMS, and drives that are formatted in a non‑native format.
